What kind of life insurance is better for me, term insurance or permanent insurance? Is there any advantage to permanent insurance over term insurance or vis versa? I mean, basically it looks like term is the better deal because I can buy more death benefit for a lot less money, but permanent insurance gives me money with a death benefit. I'm in my late 40's, have a wife and 2 kids, normal bills, mortgage, etc. Does anyone have any opinions about what is really the better deal long term?

What happens to the dividend option term rider on a whole life insurance policy? If the cost of insurance on the dividend option term rider is higher then the monthly premium being paid. What happens to the term insurance portion of the whole life policy at that time? What are my options for short-term health insurance in NY? My grad-school insurance runs out tomorrow (8/20), and my work insurance won't kick in until Sept. 1. I figured I could sign up for short-term insurance in the interim, but now, admittedly at the last minute, I discover New York State doesn't offer short-term insurance. Can I sign up in another state? My parents live in Washington State, and my grandma lives in NJ. I could use either of their addresses. Will it work? What are my other options?
Why insurance agent do not market term insurance? I am working in an IT company & agent comes to our company for marketing ULIPs. By reading various articals on ULIPs, I now understand the charges & I wonder how these agents hide the charge story partially or completely. Some of my teammates blindly sign on the policy parers & get trapped in the ULIP trap. I asked all agents for Term Insurance & most of them clearly refuse that they only sell ULIPs.I want to know that why Agents & insurance companies have a single point agenda of selling ULIPs & not market term insurance.

Who offers cheaper and better term life insurance than Primerica? We just had a Primerica representative come in our house and try to tell us why we need life insurance. I do agree my wife and I would like a term life insurance plan, but am not sure if I want to go with Primerica. They are not the cheapest and I read some good and bad things about them. Can anyone recommend some alternative companies? How is Transamerica? They seem to pop up in the top 10 insurance company list a lot.

What are the reasons to get both Short-term and long-term disability income insurance? I'm thoroughly confused as usual. But, if you have the option to get both short and long term disability insurance why would you? Does the short term cover things the long term doesn't? Doesn't long term cover the short term period as well anyway? Or do you have to have both to be covered in the immediate future and long term??? Why does everything have to be so complicated why cant there just be one kind of disability insurance its soo annoying....Which one would you get or would you get both???? arrrrrrrrrrrgggggggggggggggggggg. I'm only 28 so don't know if thats a factor, in relatively good health...but in a profession that can be dangerous. Mental health field, direct care. What about individual policies, should I consider paying outside of the company if they dont offer both of these..... thank you for any assistance

Does term life insurance take into account the combined income of a married couple? I have seen around the internet that the maximum term life insurance policy allowed for a person in their 20s is usually 20 times their income. However, I was wondering if there are any policies that take into account the combined household income. If a husband and wife both make $40,000 a year, are they entitled to a policy that is based on $80,000 of combined income, or are all policies handled on an individual basis?

Is there such thing as long-term care insurance policies? Last year I took out a life insurance policy on myself so that if something happens to me my mother would have a decent amount of money to live on and not have to worry. She can't work because of medical conditions and only receives SSI. Whenever she gets to the point that I can no longer care for her, the options won't be very good for where she can go and what kind of care she can receive. I was wondering if there is such a thing as a long-term care policy (kind of like life insurance) that I can purchase on her behalf. Thanks!

Should I get private term life insurance? I'm 39 and have life insurance through my employer. I could probably obtain private life insurance for the same rate. Is it wise to get non-employer term life insurance now (before I'm 40)? I may not stick with my current employer for another ten or twenty years, but I'll probably be here for a few years. Is there any downside to waiting to obtain term life insurance elsewhere? Solution243--Looks like you have no real answers but send everyone garbage links (for scam, perhaps?). Or maybe the same link (from you) really does answer both this question AND someone else's question about how much he should be paid for working at a deli in New Jersey. I work for the federal government. The rate is decent, though I might be able to get a little better.

Can I convert a Northwest Mutual Variable Life Insurance policy to a Term Life Insurance Policy? I signed up for the expensive Variable Life Insurance policy when I was making lots of money. Now that my earnings have dropped, the Variable plan is too expensive. I have some health issues which will prevent me from getting a reasonable rate on a new term life policy. Is it likely that NW Life will allow me to convert to term at the "health standard" that they used to sign me up 15 years ago?
