What would you say if your health insurance policy was 1000+ pages long?
I would run not walk to the exit. Why does the government need 1000 pages to run health-care? It's so complicated that even the senators and congressmen cant understand let alone read it. I don't know how anyone could vote for something they cannot understand

- I'd say the same thing the reformer, Eugene Debs, said 101 years ago: "Who will save us from Congress?"
- And who reads their insurance policy? At my work, they give you a "handbook" and send you a card, but never the actual "policy". That' seems to be locked up in the insurance company headquarters. I'd take a 1000 page public bill any day.
- thanks mom.
- ahhh for a simple republican world where everything is black and white sorry it doesn't exist , it is complicated of course republican congress men and senators dont understand it, that's why they are republicans, just not too smart
- If it were in readable font with only 125 words per page it would be.
- It's like any contract that has fine print, you need a F*cking good lawyer to be there when you sign it.
- I'd probably read it, start writing in changes just to drive them nuts and sign it on the line and write underneath "as amended". Of course, then again, I'm slightly sadistic. And I agree with the other posters statement about the tax code (and it's rumored by some of those in power that it's going to get more complicated)
- Have you ever seen the 1e12 pages of the tax code?! I'm sure you must have been in favor of bills with 1000+ pages. Congress can't do anything without 1000 pages. It's only 2 pages per Congressman.
- how long was the patriot act?
- It is inconceivable that we have people here that are blindly supporting this garbage. These are the same people that screamed and screamed that you could not trust Bush or any politician. I defend their right to do so. However, I find it extremely disconcerting that they now seem to believe politicians. Have they grown up or have they regressed? For some reason, I do not think that their real purpose is to support health care reform but to continue in their efforts to spread discontent.
